If you are looking to do something a bit different for an important milestone in your relationship or just to get away for a romantic weekend together, you could consider a camping trip. Before you start dismissing the idea of a camping trip being romantic, here us out. We don’t mean the most rustic camping trip ever – unless you are a seriously adventurous couple.

There are actually a lot of things you can do that won’t add too much to the overall cost to make camping more relaxing, comfortable, and romantic. In the following post, we offer tips and suggestions about some of the must-haves you should achieve this.

1. Double Sleeping Bag

It is often every man/woman for him/herself when it comes to camping and sleeping at night. However, it doesn’t have to be. Why not dispense with separate sleeping bags and invest in a double or even queen-sized sleeping bag that is designed to fit two people so they are as snug as a bug in a rug. Or something that sounds way more attractive and appealing. The bottom line is, snuggling up to the one you love at the end of each day on your trip will enhance the whole experience. There’s also the fact that if you are camping out somewhere that the temperature drops during the night, you can both benefit from the increased body heat.

2. Bottle of Wine, Champagne or Something Special and Stainless-Steel Wine Glasses

Just because you are out in the middle of nowhere, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some of the finer things in life. While we would suggest you leave those crystal champagne flutes or elegant wine glasses at home, you can make the compromise of buying some stainless-steel glasses. Pack your favorite bottle of something a bit special.

3. Camping Stove

What goes hand in hand with the starry sky, a nice warm sleeping bag for two and a bottle of something bubbly or alcoholic? A nice cooked meal – even if it’s just steak. Although you may not be able to get restaurant-quality food, by spending some money on a good quality camping stove you will be able to stay healthy and well-fed. There is plenty to look at here

4. Bluetooth Speaker

Music is perfect for setting the right mood, isn’t it? Therefore, if you want to really heat things up, why not put together a playlist of your favorite songs. Romantic ones will obviously help set the tone better than Men at Work’s Down Under or Buggles’ Video Killed the Radio Star, though. A wireless Bluetooth speaker is a great accessory to invest in for this very purpose, as it can be paired up to your mobile device.

5. LED String Lights

While we are on the subject of setting the right mood, lighting plays an integral role in that. Even if you are camping in the middle of the summer, the darkness will eventually settle in. That’s why you may be able to achieve a functional and sensual atmosphere easily with some LED string lights.
