One of the most powerful things in life is to be thankful and to show appreciation for what we have. When it comes to showing thanks, and being grateful for what we have and receive in life from others, gratitude goes a long way. From the time that we’re young kids, we’re taught to say please and thank you. As adults, many people tend to forget or develop a feeling of entitlement. I’ve written before about the power of giving, and about the importance of being able to receive. In this article, I wanted to go into some detail on why and how showing appreciation for what you have and receive can change your life for the better.
When it comes to dating and relationships, letting people know how much you appreciate them will not only go a long way, but it can be everything to them. Sometimes in relationships, your partner simply knowing that you’re happy, and that they did something to provoke that happiness, can make your partner even happier than you become to receive whatever it was that you’re grateful for. A genuine and simple thank you can let your partner know that you appreciate something that they’ve done. Being unappreciative can be truly ugly, and no one likes to feel as if they’re being taken advantage of. Taking the mere fact of receiving gifts, and what not, and putting it aside for a moment. Showing your partner that you appreciate them for just being with them, for simply having you as their partner, and for being a part of their life is one of the best ways of expressing your love.
In life and in love, it’s always good to have goals, dreams, and a determined mind. In addition, we should continuously strive to attain our goals to the fullest degree. However, as we all know and many of us live by, we should live in the present, be appreciative of what we currently have in our lives, and be thankful for every single thing. Every morning that we wake up, we should be thankful for having another chance at life, to experience another day, and to have a fresh start. We should be appreciative of all of the gifts that God has given to us, from our ability to see, our ability to hear, our ability to touch, taste, and feel, and for having everything else. Many of us take it for granted that we have all of our senses, and that our minds and bodies are able to function normally. Many of us take a lot for granted, and it’s important to remember that anything in life can change drastically for the better or for the worse. It’s important to appreciate the fact that we have all of the good things in our life that we have.
When it comes to early dating, it’s important to be thankful, be appreciative, and show gratitude for the kindnesses that the person that we’re dating does for us. For every bit of effort, kindness, and act of a giving nature, it’s important to show your thanks. However, there’s no need to go overboard, and overly thank anyone to the point that it becomes annoying. Many times people go overboard in thanking someone, either because they’ve never had someone be so kind and giving to them, or perhaps it’s because they feel unworthy to some degree, and they have a hard time with anyone being kind to them at all. One or two thank you’s is usually enough, and some people get a bit touchy, and annoyed when they’re overly thanked. Those people usually have issues, but either way, there’s no need to thank them more than once for whatever it was.
When it comes to early dating, I believe that a man should take the lead, and especially, in the very beginning of the dating period. When a date goes well, a man usually asks the woman out on a second date either while on the date, or he’ll call within the next day or two. That is, if he’s truly interested in her. When a man doesn’t call or text after the date within a few days, he’s usually not interested. However, it’s possible that he’s just really busy, and he’ll eventually call the girl. But, during early dating, like I said, the man should take the lead and contact the woman first. Of course, there are no rules as far as communicating, but a man should generally pursue the women, and especially during early dating.
When a woman doesn’t hear from a man for a few days, she might start to think to herself that maybe she should’ve thanked him for the date. Ladies, it’s important to show appreciation and be thankful at some point during the date, and at the end of the date as well. There’s no need to text or call a man to thank him again, because you already did. Give the man a chance to pursue you. A man can’t pursue a woman, and doesn’t even let him get a chance at pursuing a woman when she’s busy pursuing him so much. Let the man take the lead during early dating. If he’s interested, he will contact you, he will call you, he will text you, and everything else.
For those that are single, and still haven’t found the love of their life yet, you need to be grateful too. You should be grateful for everything that you have. If you’re a single parent, you should be grateful for your child, their health, and the mere fact that you have such a beautiful blessing in your life. If you live humbly, and don’t have a lavish and luxurious lifestyle, you still need to be grateful for everything that you have, including the food that you eat, the roof over your head, the clothing that you wear, for your health, and for everything else that God has given you.
It’s important to remember that you have to be happy with your life now, you have to be a whole person, and appreciate all of the beautiful things in your life before you find your match. You should never be envious or jealous of others that have more than you, but you should appreciate all of the things that I’ve mentioned throughout this article, and more. As well, remember to show and express to the people that are in your life how grateful you are to have them in it. You should not only tell them with your words, but show them with your actions. To all of my readers, thank you for reading, and I appreciate all of you very much. Wishing you a beautiful and blessed weekend ahead.
