Here Comes the Pain

The warmth of your skin,

The hush of your voice,

Only these things,

Can quiet the noise.

You think I cry for you,

But no, I cry for me,

After letting go, it’s bliss,

It’s a new type of free.

The silence speaks for itself,

Here comes the pain,

Petals turned into rocks,

Sunlight turned into rain.

A wasted soul on fire,

Left again, without a trace,

My fluttered heart, your empty desire,

You filled this empty place.

You never cared what caused it,

The emptiness inside,

What haunted new beginnings,

The truth I had to hide.

You helped create the rock I am,

Solid, strong, still pure,

But wow, you’re such an amazing man,

She says, and I’m so sure.

Spewing your empty words,

You love to fill the space,

Free shit you’d steal, cause you hate to splurge,

To fill up your empty place.

No furniture, just empty rooms,

Like the words you spoke to me,

All lies I believed wholeheartedly,

I thought we were meant to be.

The silence speaks for itself,

Here comes the pain,

Petals turned into rocks,

Sunlight turned into rain.

The music stopped playing,

Left me too many times,

Empty lyrics mean nothing,

Just poorly written rhymes.

You know better than that,

I know better this this,

I’m done wasting my time,

Your kinda love I won’t miss.

Bend down before me,

Look me straight in the eye,

Tell me once more,

What you said isn’t a lie.

I really don’t care,

No, not like before,

I gave enough chances,

Now I’m walking out the door.

You must think I’m a fool,

I don’t care what you feel,

Delusional tool,

Cream on the top, then reveal.

You got what you wanted,

All my love was for you,

Tricks and treats were all haunted,

But now we are through.

One-sided love,

No you never did shit,

One-sided friend,

Didn’t love me one bit.

A new word for over,

I’m done and we’re through,

Life is better when sober,

At least reality is true.

What you said was all lies,

How could you lie to your love,

To the one who you said,

Was pure as a dove.

I really thought you loved me,

Again the fool, here comes the pain,

I threw out your dead flowers,

I wanted you, not the remains.

The silence speaks for itself,

Here comes the pain,

Petals turned into rocks,

Sunlight turned into rain.

I always believed,

If I put up my fists,

I’d never find out,

If true love exists.

But with you, I let go,

Wishing you’d love me too,

But when I gave you the chance,

You didn’t have a clue.

Forever means nothing,

If you lie like you do,

Your forever is empty,

Without me, it’s just you.

The silence speaks for itself,

Here comes the pain,

Petals turned into rocks,

Sunlight turned into rain.
