When we’re in a good relationship, I’m sure that we’d all like to think of it as strong and solid. As well, I’m sure that most of us would like others that know about our relationship to be supportive and think of what we have as good and solid. But when we, ourselves know how strong our relationship is, it gives us a certain sense of security in knowing that we’re in a healthy situation, that things are promising, and that there’s a good chance of things working out for the long-term.
There are many ways that you can tell that you’re in a strong relationship, and that what you have with your partner is solid. First off, when you’re in a solid relationship, you and your partner likely won’t give up when faced with issues, difficult times, and hardship. When things get difficult in your relationship, you’ll work hard on improving things, rather than give up. As well, you’ll know that your relationship is solid, when you’ll both be willing to equally work hard and put effort into improving things not only during difficult times, but on a regular basis, in order to maintain the love and happiness in your relationship.
Another way of knowing that your relationship is solid, is how well and how often you communicate with one another. It’s a really good sign of a healthy relationship when couples communicate openly and regularly with one another, as if they’re best friends. Which by the way, is one of the best ways of knowing that your relationship is solid, because you can always trust and confide in your best friend.
When your relationship is based on honesty and trust as two of the main foundation pillars, then your relationship will likely be very solid. Nothing can strengthen a relationship more than being brutally honest and open book with your partner. When you’re not afraid to share things with your partner, when you’re open book, and when you never hide things in order to prevent uncomfortable feelings in one another, you’ll know that your relationship is solid and strong. Besides, when couples start hiding things from one another, it’s just another form of lying, which can definitely hurt your relationship, and take away from its strength.
Last but not least, another great way of knowing that your relationship is solid, is when nothing can tear you apart, unless it’s from your own doing. No one will have the power to tear you apart. This goes for when other people don’t approve of your relationship, don’t support you and your partner, when you have haters, or even when you’re confronted with jealous and envious people.
When push comes to shove, you’ll stand side-by-side, and hand-in-hand with your partner. And just like Rocky Balboa and Adrian Pennino, from “Rocky,” you’ll be there for one another, have each other to turn to, and you’ll be each other’s rock. You’ll have one another as a backbone. And knowing that you have such an amazing partner that will always have your back, be your teammate, your best friend, and the person that you’ll always have to run to, it will bring security, and so much strength to your relationship.
