We’ve all dated and explored relationships to some extent. Whether you’re a guy or girl, and whether or not you know what you completely want in a partner, you’ve likely experienced a taste of love, and what real love actually feels like. For those that haven’t yet experienced true love, it’s something you have yet to experience. More than experience, it’s something that you’ll likely embrace. When things don’t work out in a relationship where you’ve experienced a tremendous love, you’ll likely search for that type of love once again. Once you know what real love feels like, you’ll never want to settle for anything less. If anything, you’ll always be searching for something similar to that type of love, or even a better version of it.
It’s important that we don’t become too picky in life and in our search for love. But instead, we should open our minds up enough to give promising situations a chance. It can be very difficult for someone to give a situation a chance even when there’s promise to it, when they don’t feel the fire and chemistry with the person right away. As most of us know, chemistry is imperative, and I’d even consider it to be a definite must have in any relationship. Fire and chemistry is a must when starting any relationship, and especially if you want it to last. Having said that, it’s important that we don’t expect to find that intense fiery type of love from the get-go. Real and genuine love takes time to develop. True love can even take years to develop into something where you feel that intense love.
The honeymoon phase can confuse people at times. It makes people feel that the happiness that they’re currently experiencing in their present state and moment will be how the relationship will remain throughout their journey together. On the contrary, it’s important to realize and understand that true love takes hard work. To taste real love isn’t something that will be a temporary quick fix. If a relationship isn’t based on a healthy foundation, a couple will most likely experience many issues. As well, if that strong foundation isn’t built upon things like honesty, trust, good communication, and being each other’s best friends, that honeymoon type of love won’t last. It’s important to be with someone for all of the right reasons, and not for superficial reasons like beauty, fame, or any type of materialistic reasons. You should be with someone because they bring out the best in you, and because you bring out the best in them.
In a healthy relationship, both people should want each other to improve as individuals, and become better people. When a love is real, it doesn’t end when you have an argument or if you don’t agree on everything. When someone feels real love towards their partner, they care about improving their relationship, and maintaining the happiness that they’d experienced early on in their honeymoon phase. There are many things you can do to create that sense of honeymoon feeling throughout a relationship. Once you’ve tasted real love, you’ll never want anything less. To actually get the chance at embracing real love is an opportunity that no one should take for granted. If you fear that you’ll never have the opportunity at experiencing what the taste of real love is, it’s important to keep your chin up and stay optimistic while dating. You can’t expect to find love if you’re not open to it. To taste what real love is, you must go into situations with optimism, a positive outlook, an open heart, and with the belief that true love exists.
