What could be more fun than a chance to get together with your girls? You can unwind and celebrate your friendship by doing things that you all enjoy. It can be hard to match up everyone’s schedules but once you do it’s always worth it.

1. Hit the Town

Forget work: the weekend is time for play. Going
nightclubbing takes you out of the house and onto the dance floor. Some clubs have specific themes or a special weekly event like a comedian or local band. Check out their schedule to see if there’s a group that you and your girls have always wanted to see together. Even if there isn’t there’s nothing quite like dancing together to a bunch of Top 40 hits as you scream along to every word. This can especially be a good activity if you want to get out and meet new people with the support of your friends.

2. Drink and Paint

A very trendy activity is combining wine and paint. You and your friends can drink local wines while you recreate the instructor’s painting. Then you get to take your masterpieces home at the end of the night. Unleash your inner Van Gogh or da Vinci and get a little tipsy along the way. You will also meet other artistic people and maybe make some new friends that might end up joining your next girls’ night.

3. Book Club Buddies

For the nerdier members of the group, you can start a book club instead of going to a nightclub. Use an existing list of recommendations like Oprah’s or Reese Witherspoon’s or ask around at your library. There are some popular novels that come in book club-specific editions. These editions have ready-made questions and author interviews that can serve as a jumping-off point for you and your girls. For extra fun, you can turn it into a potluck and make foods from the era or region of the novel.

4. Exercise Your Interests

Get the girls together to set – and beat – your fitness goals. It can be helpful to have another person around for accountability. Plus it makes working out more fun and social. Classes like spinning or cardio dance workouts get you energized. Yoga could be a better choice if your girl’s night is after work since yoga is a good way to wind down. You might even choose to start a walking or running group with your group of friends. This will motivate you to be active, but allow you to chat and catch up.

5. Dinner and Shopping

You can’t go wrong with the classic dinner and shopping outing. Try out a new restaurant or splurge and go somewhere fancy. You don’t always have to make your outing anything extravagant. Sometimes sticking to what you know you all enjoy will make everyone happy.

You don’t have to do the same thing every time you meet up with your friends. Have a rotation of activities to keep conversations fresh. Consider the above tips for your next girls’ night and have a great time!
