5-Signs-Youre-Overweight

Leading a busy life, swamped with errands and having little to no time to dedicate to yourself can take a toll on your health. On the other hand, you may simply not be the one to break a sweat every other day, and working out never seemed important, even if you had the time to do it. However, all of those factors combined together can lead to an unhealthy body weight, which can result in serious health issues. Therefore, it’s important that you can recognize the signs that may indicate you need to start losing weight.

1. You Snore

Snoring is the first in line of indicators that you’ve gained a few pounds. Namely, sleep apnea ‒ a condition where your breathing stops repeatedly for 10 seconds or more while you sleep ‒ is caused by the decrease of oxygen in the blood, which is primarily the result of excess of weight. This condition can further lead to poor sleep because it’ll make you wake up several times during the night. So, it would be best if you started working out and introduce healthy meals into your diet if you want to stop snoring.

2. You Lose Your Breath Quickly

If running a few feet to catch a bus or climbing up the stairs makes you lose your breath, you’re probably overweight. Not only does this mean you have excess weight, it also means that you’re out of shape. As your weight increases, your respiratory capacity decreases, so it’s high time you started hitting the treadmill. If you’re inactive, your heart and lungs are not getting enough workout to operate well, so do your best to put your body in shape and avoid various health problems that you can end up with due to excess weight.

3. Exercising Is Exhausting

Have you tried to work out, but it’s simply too difficult to do a squat and go up without soaking your t-shirt with sweat? If the answer is Yes, you are definitely overweight. For starters, try to lose weight by introducing some radical changes to your diet. Avoiding junk food, eating three regular small meals a day and having a fruit as a snack between meals is all you need to lose some weight before you can introduce regular workout into your routine, and lose the rest of the fat. If you don’t want to go to the gym, look for the best exercise bikes and bring the gym to your home. This way you can make the exercise more fun, since you’ll be able to put an exercise bike in front of the TV or play your favorite music on the radio, and cycle anytime, for however long you want.

4. You’re Always Tired

An excess of fat causes internal inflammation, so if you’re always tired no matter how much sleep you get, that’s your body telling you that you need to lose weight. If simple grocery shopping exhausts you, it means that your BMI is elevated and that you need to start losing weight as soon as possible. Don’t risk getting diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol levels just because you were too lazy to start breaking a sweat for half an hour every day.

5. You’re Always Hungry

If you are constantly hungry and you’re gaining weight on top of it, it means you’re choosing the wrong foods. Healthy fat, protein, fiber, and vitamins keep you full, and if you keep eating candy and similar foods that have no nutritious value, you’ll gain weight and never feel full. However, constant hunger can also be a symptom of insulin resistance or type 2 diabetes. This is especially true if you’re also experiencing extreme thirst, numbness or tingling in your hands and feet and blurry vision.

Being overweight can seriously jeopardize your health, so if you’ve noticed some of the previously mentioned signs, you should start working on your weight loss. Don’t risk getting diabetes or some other serious health issues just because you didn’t want to develop healthy eating habits and make time for regular physical activity.
