ACW – Anne Cohen Writes

Welcome to my brand-new website Anne Cohen Writes! From the time I was a young child, I admired my mother for how she kept a diary. She would write on a daily basis, and the more her diary was filled up with words and feelings, the cooler it was to me. For some reason, I found that to be so appealing. Little did I know that one day I’d grow up and want to be a writer. So for that and more, thank you to my mom.

My mother and father are both writers as well. Actually, my mother is an incredible artist, and a crazy talented writer and composer. She writes musicals that with G-d’s help will soon be seen on Broadway. They’re beyond phenomenal! Now my father, well, he was a singer, songwriter, and a crazy talented musician in Chicago, Illinois (my home town). What can I say, we’re all talented, creative, and humble. Very, very, very, humble. Being humble really runs in the family as well.

For a little over two years now I’ve been writing articles on my other blog, Anne Cohen on a regular basis, and soon after that two-year mark hit, I started writing for The Huffington Post, Elite Daily, BuzzFeed, and many other sites as well. I’ve written articles predominately about love and relationships, online dating, healthy lifestyle, lifestyle, parenting, daily inspiration, success, self-improvement, blog life, and search engine optimization.

In this website, “Anne Cohen Writes,” I hope to share with you the same types of articles that I’ve previously written. But, now I’m taking it to the next level. Just as many other entrepreneurs have once decided for themselves, I want to be my own boss, and I want to call the shots. Although I’ve had my Blogspot account and have been completely dedicated to it for over two years, owning your own domain name takes it to another level.

A big part of writing is getting feedback, which involves hearing opinions, comments, questions, and suggestions from all of my readers. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts, and I want to thank you all in advance for reading my articles, making the time, and listening to my thoughts. To get my articles on a regular basis, you can subscribe to my website, and my articles will be delivered straight to your email. As well, you can also feel free to keep checking back. Stay tuned for my latest articles, love you all, and G-d Bless.

  10. My girlfriend made me read this and although I can honestly say that I was hesitant, I really enjoyed it. Gotta thank my girl too. 🙂

  11. What exactly makes a person an authority on relationships? How can one offer an advice to a complete stranger based on a slight bit of information? Or even a larger slice of data? We are all individuals and as such have to make our individual choices? So I wonder how we all become a sample, an average, mundane, predicable, banal. Because that is the tacit meaning behind giving advice to a group of strangers based on the empirical data collected by one individual that’s not even theirs to begin with.

    Do comment.

    1. Thank you for your comment. I don’t claim to have all of the answers to everyone’s problems. All I do is write from my heart, use my own personal experiences, and things that I’ve learned over the years as tools in my writing and in my advice to others. I believe that anyone can give advice to another, despite having a degree, and no matter who the person is that’s giving the advice. It could be a friend, family member, or a complete stranger that might give great advice on a particular subject as such. This is why I don’t personally use the term “relationship expert.” I don’t claim to be one. I’m just a girl, a woman, that’s learned a great deal through trial and error, hard times, making mistakes, and learning from them. I only write about things that I genuinely believe to be true. I write about things like self improvement, knowing your self worth, and being kind and appreciative to others, etc. These things, and all of the other things that I write on are all positive. My writing is all based on logic, love, experience, and being a good person. If my writing can help make a difference, even if it’s just a little difference in people and in couples for the better, that would be a great thing.

      1. Thank you for your reply. I too teach “life” if one can be so bold as to say that.
Much like you, trying to augment the knowledge of an individual experience with collective one. Your reply validates my initial assessment – your sense of humility. Refreshing and very rare. All you and I and people like us are simply trying to say:
“consider using our trials and tribulations as a general guide to solving some of your problems or finding answers, but the choice and the consequences thereof are ALWAYS yours; yours to choose, yours to live with. ”
I personally stay away from being an “advisor ” or giving an unsolicited advice. Advices are ONLY good when are asked for. I look at my teachings as narratives design to give just a bit of insight to those who are in fact sponges and not rocks.

  12. Interesting bio Anne! Crazy and humble! Wow! Mental and lazy with a 5th grader vocabulary! Hidden behind 4 walls and scared to face life… Do you read before you post your writings?
Single and miserably trying to catch someone with money for the past decade, but giving relationship advices… Nice!
Anne Cohen, grow up and go back to educate yourself how to be a better writer!!! We learn this at school!

  13. Very nice Anne! congrats! looking good! …and the web site too 😉
I like the clean design, it only make sense for you to have your own web site.
May the pen be with you. Good luck!
